Alfonso Rea, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Rea is an invasive cardiologist with advanced training in echocardiography. Born in Ecuador, he received his medical degree from Central University of Ecuador School of Medicine in 1989. Dr. Rea completed his internship and residency at Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, Florida in 1995. In July, 1996 he completed a critical care fellowship and in July, 1999 a cardiology fellowship, both at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Rea is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Rea joined Cardiovascular Medicine P.C. in July 2006. He is currently on staff at WellStar Cobb, Douglas, Kennestone and Paulding hospitals.
Dr. Rea is married and the father of one son and one daughter. His hobbies include computers, international travel and building and flying model aircraft.
