Adam N. Lourie, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Lourie, a board certified invasive cardiologist, was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. He received his undergraduate and Medical degrees at Emory University. After training in Internal Medicine at Emory, he completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Tufts University/St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He is fully trained in cardiac catheterization, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and permanent pacemaker implantation.
Dr. Lourie is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a member of several Medical Societies.
Dr. Lourie has been in private practice in Cobb and Douglas Counties since 1998. He is currently Chief of Staff of Wellstar Cobb Hospital and past Chairman of the Departmant of Medicine from 2002-2008. He is also the Chief of the Cardiology Section and sits on the medical executive committee as WellStar Douglas Hospital. He is currently on staff at WellStar Cobb, Douglas, Kennestone and Paulding hospitals.
When not enjoying the practice of medicine, Dr. Lourie finds great pleasure in spending time with his wife and three sons. He enjoys fitness/sports, reading, writing, and gardening. On the rare occasion that time permits, he enjoys playing a round of golf.
